Vinco lift & slide doors – at the heart of our experience
Since 1976, lift and slide doors have been at the heart of our working lives within the Vinco Team and continues to be at the core of our business moving forward.
Lift and slide doors, put simply, are sliding doors that have massive size capabilities, without compromising ease of use.
With traditional sliding systems, there is a common conflict between ease of use, and air/water tightness. Traditionally, we have to use brush pile seals which are constantly in contact with the sliding panels to ensure weather tightness, but this solution ultimately causes friction, and makes the door harder to open. Lift and slide doors eradicate the need for a brush pile seal with a very simple yet effective operation using the rotation of a neat lever handle.
- Door closed, handle upwards
The door is lowered down onto the threshold, engaging the compression seals underneath and above the panel. The middle inter-locker of the panels are tightly engaged and the leading edge of the door is closed snug into the frame. The door is secure through over 4 points of locking around each sash. This product is available with PAS 24 security which must be requested at point of enquiry.
- Door open, handle rotated 180 degrees to a downward position
Turning the handle 180 degrees rotates a cam in the mechanism that lifts the panels upwards, This decompresses, and removes the panel from the seals, allowing the door to glide effortlessly with the push of a finger.
- Hold open position
Rotating the handle of the door in any open position sits the sliding panel down onto the track in a friction held open position (this is not classed as a secure ventilation position).
Individual panel sizes of up to 3m wide and 3m high can be achieved to allow very large clear open spaces.
As always, all products are made with engineered timber profiles for maximum stability and all timber is responsibly sourced from an FSC certified supply chain.
NOTE: If you are looking to create a Glazed Facade or Glazed Gable, and choose to incorporate lift and slide doors without the use of bulky steels then please see our unique solution – Vinco iNTEGRA. iNTEGRA enables complete screens with only minimal 50mm sightlines all round with an integrated sliding solution to be constructed for a minimal and unique look, in timber and Alu clad timber.

What our customers think
Tony Harrison RIBA – Director Design 4 architecture
“Our house has been transformed thanks to Vinco!”
The whole experience with Vinco Windows group, from the initial site meeting and competitive quote, through to the efficient and prompt delivery and fitting of the window and door package was one of the smoothest we have ever encountered.
We will certainly be using them again and I would highly recommend this company for the supply and fitting of high quality doors and windows.

“A* from start to finish”
We were very happy with Matt and Vinco from the outset of the process through to fitting – our new windows look fab!!
We have fitted contemporary black Alu-clad windows to a two-hundred year old barn, so getting the mix right of old and new was essential, as was measuring and fitting plumb, square windows to historical, non-plumb window openings! Matt was instrumental in helping us to make sure we have the right windows for our needs and kept us updated throughout the manufacturing process. The fitters were extremely efficient and professional – we will definitely be talking to Vinco when we do our next conversion.
