Rooflight FAQ’s
In general, planning permission is not required in England and Wales. There are some circumstances where homeowners may need to obtain planning permission and these are generally for conservation areas, or owners who are leaseholders.
We will be able to advise you and an exhaustive list of requirements is available on the government’s planning portal.
UG values measure the speed at which heat transfers through a building material. Therefore, the lower the UG value, the slower this process is and the more effective a building material is in retaining heat. In general, relevant building regulations cap UG values at 1.4 W/m2k and our rooflights typically offer much lower (better) values.
All of our roof lights and roof lanterns are designed and manufactured to minimise noise when it rains.
