Developing bespoke products to suit project requirements

The glazing design was focused around the external stone columns and internal facing brickwork piers, and achieving maximum opening areas. The architects vision was also to minimise visible framing when facing square onto the building from the outside.

Lift and Slide doors were the clear solution for the scheme but the sliding door had to be adapted to slide inside of the internal brick piers.

We developed a “pocket door” profile on the interlock post of the sliding doors, and extended the sliding tracks along the inside of the brickwork so that the large glazed sliding panels could open beyond the main structure.

The result was outstanding as you can see , but more importantly it was detailed correctly to ensure the solution remained water tight.
